How Do I Create an Owner’s Manual Report in AQ?
The Owner’s Manual report assembles the available manuals for items in an AQ project and allows missing manuals to be added from a folder on your computer.
Create the Owner’s Manual Report
Click “Print” in the project spreadsheet ribbon:

AQ wants to print a Quote by default. Just click “OK” when the “spec sheets” window comes up:

In the Report Viewer, click the “Owner’s Manual” report:

The dialog box that appears will tell you which items AQ has manuals for & which ones they do not:

Find missing manuals on the web & copy them to your computer. From here you can incorporate those manuals into your Owner’s Manual report.
When you click “Find Manual,” you can direct AQ to the folder on your computer where you put that manual:

Click “OK” & your report will be assembled & you’ll get a print preview. You will not see the PDF manuals as the files sizes are too large to display here, but they are there. If you open or save this as a PDF (upper left corner of ribbon), you will see the full report including the various manuals.
Select the Print OptionsSelect print options as needed. Remember the options you select will “stick” as your default print options whenever you print this report in the future, unless you change them.
Manuals will print alphabetically in manufacturer order.

If you Email the PDF, the manuals will indeed be included in the report.

Of course, you can save the PDF file for future use. If you don’t save it, you’ll have to configure it all over again when needed.
