How Do I Generate an Excel Report from the AQ Project List?

AQ allows you to export highlighted project list data or the entire project list into an Excel file.

You can export part or all of the project list data into Excel. It could be any grouping of projects that you like—by date, by customer, by project, etc.

From the AQ project list, you can export a list of highlighted project data into Excel.

These are the fields (columns) available for display in the Project List, depending on which columns you have “visible.” This can be adjusted in the Column Chooser, available with a right-click on any column header.

Generate the Excel Report
  1. Sort the projects in the Project List by the appropriate column header (Modified Date, Create Date, Project Name, Customer, etc. — your choice) by clicking on the appropriate column header. Clicking again will toggle the sort (ascending or descending).
  2. Highlight the projects you want to include in your Excel file—use traditional highlighting commands, i.e., hold down the Shift key & click the first & last project in the group you want to export. This will highlight those projects & all projects in between. Use the Ctrl key to select non-consecutive entries.
  3. Click on the Excel icon on the top left of your AQ Project List screen.

AQ will export all highlighted project list data into an Excel file. If no projects are highlighted, AQ will export your entire project list.

Of course, you can manipulate the Excel file any way you want to. It is not “connected” to AQ & will not affect your AQ projects.
