What Are “C” Notes in Prelude?

Learn how comment lines are added to an order and which “C” Notes print on specific documents.

Comment lines are instructions or notes that can be added to an order. To add a comment line to an order; while the cursor is on a blank line, press "c" then enter. A box will appear to type comments, F2 when complete. For example, notes are always added for a customer return so the driver can identify the correct person and locate the merchandise. Be careful when entering notes; if it's a note that a customer should not see then the appropriate comment line must be used.

  • C Print comment on all documents
  • CP Print comment on pick ticket, acknowledgement and packing slip
  • CPO Print comment on linked purchase order and pick ticket

The below “C” Notes are for reference only. These are no longer used

  • CN Do not print comments on any external documents
  • CB Comment will be printed on all documents and remain after back-order cycle
  • CPB Comment will print on pick ticket, acknowledgment and packing slip and will remain after the back-order cycle
  • CI Print comment on invoice
  • CIB Comment will be printed on invoice and will remain after the back-order cycle
  • CIPO Print comment on linked PO and invoice
  • CNPO Do not print comment on linked documents or any special-order documents
  • CPPO Print comment on linked purchase orders and pick ticket, but not on invoice
