What Do Manufacturer Statuses Mean in AQ?

Use manufacturer statuses to understand how vendors are prioritized in AQ Catalog search results.

Singer assigns a status to certain manufacturers based on their level of importance. That status affects where the manufacturer’s products appear in AQ Catalog search results.

Manufacturer status levels
  • Preferred / Buying Group — Products appear first in search results. These manufacturers display with two stars: **
  • Approved — Products appear after Preferred / Buying Group manufacturers. These manufacturers display with one star: *
  • No Assigned Status — Products appear after Preferred and Approved manufacturers, but before Not Approved manufacturers.
  • Not Approved — Products appear last in search results. The manufacturer’s name appears crossed out.
Important

Manufacturer status does not remove products from the catalog. It changes the order in which products appear and helps users identify Singer’s preferred and approved vendors.
