A Company represents a customer or prospective customer organization. It is the primary record within HubSpot and serves as the foundation for every other object.
Everything begins with the Company record. Every Contact, Lead, Deal, Ticket, and activity should be associated with the correct Company whenever possible.
Maintaining clean Company records creates one complete view of every customer relationship and gives Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Leadership a single source of truth.
Company Structures
Individual Company
A single standalone customer.
Parent / Child Company
A parent company with multiple operating locations.
Prelude and HubSpot Company Records
A Company is either a Prelude Company Record or a HubSpot Created Record.
Whenever possible, we merge HubSpot Records into the Primary Prelude Company Record.
